If you were unable to attend its premiere at Sundance and don't have HBO, here's some good news for you: the upcoming Kurt Cobain documentary Montage of Heck is set for a theatre release in 72 countries. This not only allows viewers from all around the world to watch this highly anticipated piece of rock'n'roll history, but also makes the film eligible for Academy Award consideration.

The news was confirmed by director Brett Morgen himself during an interview with Billboard, and although no specific theatres or showtimes have been announced, Montage of Heck should begin its "tour" on April 10th: "Within 90 days, the whole world will have access to the film," Morgen told Billboard.
