The ever brilliant Kyla La Grange really found her musical feet with the release of her second studio album Cut Your Teeth and its title-track in 2014. The title-track also spawned the highly praised Kygo remix and really opened further doors for La Grange. Since then, she's continued to be fearless with her musical experimentation, proved none more so than in new single 'Hummingbird', which not only pushes further her electronic sound but also sees her pushing her voice even further than ever before.

"Hummingbird is about hovering between the different versions of yourself," explains La Grange. "The traits you thought you'd outgrown but that come back to get you, about how having too many choices makes you dissatisfied because you always think you'd be happier if you'd chosen the thing you didn't choose, which usually isn't true. It's about trying to sit comfortably in your own skin and learning to like all the things about yourself that wouldn't necessarily fall into society's definition of a successful functioning human."

An accompanying 3D and virtual reality visual, created in partnership with Inception, Visualise, Burning Reel and directors Debbie Scanlan and Liz Adams (of whom she collaborated with previously on the 'Cut Your Teeth' video) is due to be released soon. In the meantime, 'Hummingbird' is available now on all digital platforms.
