LeeFest is a small, non-profit music and arts festival that takes place in SE London each Summer. The festival has a very unique story that has been of great interest to the UK press, and has given the event an inimitable atmosphere. The festival is now beginning to grow in size and stature, and in the past couple of years has been recognised with several industry awards.


About The Role

As the festival is growing we are looking for an additional member to join the founders and assist us in the organisation and implementation of the festival marketing. The role is wide ranging, and involves high-level creative and strategic work, day-to-day admin and everything in between. A permanent contract will be considered based on the success of the temporary 6-month contract. For the right candidate there will be the option of further marketing work on other events run by the founders as and when it is available.

  • - Be extremely organised, with a mind for developing eicient work processes.
  • - Want to develop the marketing manager role and help cultivate the marketing department of a future world-class festival.
  • - Be friendly, kind and a good communicator.
  • - Be flexible to sometimes work outside of oice hours.
  • - Be confident and willing to take risks in the name of creativity.
  • - Want to use the opportunity to proactively learn and develop their marketing skills and knowledge.
  • - Be comfortable working in festival conditions (outdoors and away from home comforts in tented accommodation for 7 days).

Central London (Victoria)


Time

3 days per week. Temporary 6-month contract subject to 1 month probationary period.


Start / End Date

Monday 3rd Feb to Friday 1st Aug 2014. A permanent contract will be considered based on the success of the temporary 6-month contract.


Finance

£17,500 pro rata. (£210 per week)


Experience / Skills

  • Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience
  • - Must have a degree (2:1 or above)
  • - Must have previously attended UK music festivals
  • - Must have a good knowledge of London music and arts scenes
  • - Must have experience running social media on behalf of a brand

  • Desirable Skills / Experience
  • - Experience in an arts (music festival) marketing department
  • - Experience managing a budget
  • - Experience of project management
  • - Experience managing a team of interns or volunteers
  • - Experience of managing press relationships
  • - Experience of working onsite at live events
  • - Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
  • - Basic HTML knowledge
  • - Basic Wordpress knowledge
  • - Experience Facebook advertising
  • - Experience with Google advertising (adwords and retargetting)
  • - Experience with Google analytics
