Since releasing The Carter III back in 2008 (would you believe!?), the quality of Lil' Wayne's music has been on a exponential downward spiral. It's not just me saying it, the critics and the commercial charts agree - and he does too. Issuing a twitter apology to his fans for not being nominated for a VMA or a BET award this year, (the latter being particularly shocking, as BET is basically as synonym for everything Lil' Wayne and Young Money in the recent past), what better way to entice fans with free music?

Early today, he released The Dedication 5 mixtape which is available to stream and download over at DatPiff.

On what seems to be an attempt to stay relevant by association, the mixtape features current rap mainstays, Chance the Rapper, Future and The Weeknd, some borrowed beats courtesy of Kendrick Lamar ('Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe) and ASAP Rocky ('Fuckin' Problems') and some Dwayne Carter originals in the mix also.

Listen and judge for yourself.
