Brighton quintet Lion Bark claim to have met at music school only to have dropped out once they'd formed the band. Fortunately, on the back of their first song 'Two Prongs', it'd seem as though they made the right choice.

Combining the laid-back, jangle-pop aesthetics of Real Estate with the smooth, dark sound of Wild Beasts, 'Two Prongs' is an off-kilter pop gem. The band's sound, led by Guy Bangham's velvet vocals and the band's sunshine harmonies, may be a faintly familiar one, but so too is it one of effortless elegance and beauty.
