Let's be honest, Aidan Moffat & Malcolm Middleton can do no wrong, right? Their take on 'Two Cousins' by Slow Club is a good example of this.

The original track has a melancholic quality to it, but with a driving beat that would have a room full of cardigan wearing boys and girls swaying within an inch of their brogues. What Moffat & Middleton have done beautifully though is to take that underlying melancholy and make it 100% the focal point of the song. It's undeniably their sound. No compromise.

Really wonderful stuff.
