A talented collective of North East musicians (including former Golden Virgins’ frontman and singer songwriter Lucas Renney) The Union Choir has seen people come and go over the last couple of years before finally settling on a line up of 9. Or is it 8? Regardless, the music is dark, brooding thoughtful pop – reminiscent of Echo And The Bunnymen and The Smiths. With airplay already from Huw Stephens and Tom Robinson there is a real buzz building about this band. 'Eleanor’s' striking vocal and chiming guitar make you sit up and take notice from the first few seconds and, at a teasing 2mins and 39 seconds, it definitely leaves you wanting more. Well worth a listen!

'Eleanor' is released on 15th August through Cottage Industries.
