Alela Diane's 'The King' is everything a folk song should be: simple accompaniment, haunting lyrics, and one beautiful, emotional voice. Finger-picked guitar and somber strings support Diane's raw tone as she sings of devils, sin, and days past.

The song is one of two new tracks on her About Farewell: B-sides and Scenic Burrows Sessions EP, out this week. The EP features acoustic versions of songs from last year's About Farewell, as well as 'The King' and other new track 'The Girl in Gray'.
