Previously only available as a Japan-only bonus track on Syro, Aphex Twin has decided to release 'MARCHROMT30a Edit 2b 96' (catchy fucking name isn't it) as a white label single on 12" vinyl. It'll available from 6th April – 7th for North America – and will also feature an alternative take on the single track, as well as a new version 'XMAS_EVET10 [120] (thanaton3 mix)'. We're not worthy.

He's been around a lot recently. Firstly, his 6-year-old son turns out to be an electronic maestro already (or was he trolling us), and then he goes and dumps a billion unreleased songs from his hard-drive onto SoundCloud. Oh and he released an EP, Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2.

You can listen to 'MARCHROMT30a Edit 2b 96' below. It's a jewel of a piece, set to a majestic refrain that puppeteers the gloriously alive-sounding chords and soft bass into painting a nameless picture of triumph, breaking into virtuosic moments of turntablism and characteristic glitch to gritty effect.
