Back when The 405 highlighted Melbourne garage-songstress Courtney Barnett, it was apparent that she had an effortless affinity for goofy, seminal story-telling.

Few examples affirm that response better than Barnett's recent cover of The Lemonheads' 'Being Around' (which she dubs 'Bein' Around'). The track splits off romance and charm, with novelty quirk ("boogers" are referenced fairly early in the track), which fits Barnett's billing affably well.

The original, coincidentally, came as the B-Side to the '90s cult faves cover of Simon & Garfunkel's 'Mrs. Robinson', which has been in about 450 Hollywood films so far.

Check out the cover below and grab Barnett's lovable The Double EP: A Sea Of Split Peas, out now on Milk! Records in Australia, House Anxiety and Marathon Artists in The UK, and Mom+Pop in the U.S. on iTunes.
