Debut singles rarely come more accomplished and confident than 'Guns' from Kent-native Déyyess'. In a world seemingly saturated with female-fronted electronic pop, 'Guns' feels like a much-needed antithesis; brooding and raw, the track nods more to classic songstresses such as Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks, managing to cut through with intelligent and effortless songwriting.

Déyyess, known better to her family as 20-year-old Hannah Butcher, has created the beginnings of an enigmatic and enrapturing world that transcends her rural Kent upbringing. 'Guns' is an ambitious debut, helped in part by the slick production from local friend James Leggett and Neil Comber (MIA, Florence & The Machine, Django Django), and above all else promises big things for Deyyess.
