John Carpenter, the man behind such iconic horror film classics as Halloween, The Thing, and Christine, as well as beloved '80s action classics Escape From New York and They Live, has been revealing his own musical compositions as an artist since late 2014. Now, less than two years later, Carpenter is set to debut his second studio album Lost Themes II, which features the newly released 'Distant Dream'.

The production of the album was helped out by Carpenter's son Cody and his Godson Daniel Davies, who helped with Carpenter's previous musical work but became a more integral part of the studio process for Lost Themes II. Much of the music, as evident with 'Distant Dream', is highly cognizant of the thematic style Carpenter has been lauded for in his film work, driven by eerie synths and high-rising mood shifts.

The album officially arrives April 15th on Sacred Bones and can be pre-ordered today on iTunes, which will include an instant download of 'Distant Dream'. Carpenter will also be touring later this year, with dates listed below.
