What happens if you mixed a-Ha with M83? No wait! Where are you going? Come back, it sounds weird but it's not, honest. With the discernible charm of the Norwegian kings of 80s electropop and the moody atmospheric soundscapes of M83, it sounds like something that shouldn't work but Swedes Hampus Klint and Einar Andersson, aka Ditt Inre (which means Your Inner) have managed to somehow pull it off.

Having already released an EP last year, they are returning this autumn with a new album entitled Vard Mer An Guld (Worth More Than Gold). They've also very kindly given us a sample of the new album in 'Vi Kommer Aldrig Bli Som Er', a breezy Washed Out-esque with bubbling synths and sweeping melodies that make you feel as though you’re driving on an empty road somewhere beautiful with the top down.

Of course, we've no idea if the content matter of the lyrics is equally as joyous as Ditt Inre don't follow the well-trodden path of other Scandinavian bands these days by singing in their native tongue. For all we know, unless you do know Swedish, this could be an extraordinarily melancholic track juxtaposed with the summery, breezy melody. Either way, the summery vibes are a nice change from the well-known "darkness" of most Scandipop.
