With Metallica and Lou Reed putting the fear of god into cross-genre collaborations, Elvis Costello & The Roots' joint effort was always going to be met with trepidation. However, the likes of 'Walk Us Uptown' felt more safe than outright ridiculous, which is by no means a bad thing.
