It's still too early to say for sure, but Artificial Sweeteners, the upcoming album from Fujiya & Miyagi, may be one of the best dance rock LPs of the year.

The British group just dropped the album opener, 'Flaws', a crazy barrage of stuttering synth sequences, staccato guitar licks, driving drums and eerie atmospherics - it's pretty rad.

For the new album the band seems to be cranking up the bpm and channeling the gamut of 90s electro. Between 'Flaws' and the album's previous single 'Tetrahydrofolic Acid', there's no shortage of acid house, Garage D 'n' B, techno, ambient and even a little Nu-Wave, all at faster tempos then listeners have come to expect from Fujiya & Miyagi.

Listen below.

Artificial Sweeteners is due out May 6 from Yep Roc. In the meantime, check out 'Flaws' for a taste of what's to come.
