With sounds as lush and otherworldly as they are affecting and heartfelt, it's no wonder that the video for 'Golden Halls (Part 2)' by Brighton-based musicmaker Adolescent should follow suit. Based on the Chinese story (itself based on a Buddhist sutra) that follows the hero Mu Lien travelling through hell in order to save his mother from demons, it's filled with shots of touching childhood memories and English countryside.

The music itself is gorgeously downtempo, cradled in swathes of bass and draped with resounding synth chords, fluid percussion bristling with intense waterfallish beauty - a rich soundscape that's about as tangibly delicious as any tasty physical food.

This is taken from Adolescent's upcoming Golden Halls EP scheduled for release 12th May on KLDSCP Records.
