Ahead of the release of their third album next week, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros have given The 405 an exclusive preview of 'If I Were Free'.

Starting with an abrupt/startling pinging noise, 'If I Were Free' contently shuffles along for nearly six minutes. With swelling folk at its heart, a retro country sound coats a carefree top layer. The self titled album will be released on 26th August through Mumford & Sons' label, Gentlemen of the Road. It's the first album to be released on the label by an artist other than Mumford & Sons.
