Update: Listen to the studio version below.

Record Store Day is as good a day as any to set a new world record - especially when it has something to do with making vinyl beauties. That's exactly what Jack White must have thought when he decided to release "The World's Fastest Record" on Saturday. Three hours and twenty-one minutes was how long it took to record, press, and release a live-in-studio version of 'Lazaretto', the title-track from his upcoming studio album (allowing the stunt to become a pretty decent way of promoting his new LP). Al Ford, program director of the Edmonton radio station Sonic 102.9, recounts the whole experience below and also plays the Speddy Gonzalez of records (music starts around 7:20).
