Initially found on Paul Simon's eighth studio album The Rhythm of the Saints, 'The Cool, Cool River' is a tribal-influenced track (like most of Simon's work during this period) that Norwegian musician Jenny Hval has stripped down - transforming it into a minimal, intimate folk ballad.

Hval released her fourth studio album Innocence Is Kinky back in April via Rune Grammofon, which really blew us away (a 9/10 rating in case you were wondring).
