Choosing to crowd-fund an album isn't entirely groundbreaking these days - but doing it only 3 days and reaching 215% of your intended target isn't half bad. And that's exactly was Australian songstress Kate Miller-Heidke did after parting company with record label with the highly-acclaimed O, Vertigo being the result.

Now hoping to make similar seismic waves over here, lead single 'Yours Was the Body' acts as the most emphatic of introductions. Like any good songstress, it's the vocal that should carry and 'Yours Was the Body' frames Miller-Heidke's voice perfectly. The ferocity and emotion poured into the track is sure to remind many of a certain Miss Florence Welch - but hey, that's never a bad thing. The album - which is being given a UK re-release by Cooking Vinyl - is expected later this year and the general feeling around the camp is, watch this space.
