The new single from the California based Kera and the Lesbians has a title that manages to accurately describe how exactly the track feels. 'Snakes' slithers along with an almost malevolent feel, keeping things low key as it stalks through the grass with a little bit of rockabilly guitar and Kera's raw, echoing vocals, before things quickly kick up a notch and it begins to give chase with a bubbling bass line, and folky percussion.

This is what Savages would sound like if they ditched the more garage feel and opted to mix it up with a folk and bluegrass feel. It's very raw, very in-your-face, with as little pretention as possible. Kera and the Lesbians' EP, Year23, is set to drop on January 28th.
