It's not only because they are Brazilian, but Goiânia-based psych-rockers Boogarins remind us immensely of Os Mutantes, one of Brazil's greatest exports when it comes to 60s psychedelia and overall pop innovation. Almeida and Ferraz's DIY recordings mix fuzzy guitars, astonishing melodies, and that little bit of exoticness inherited from Tropicalismo that haunts the drum section and touches ground with Samba.

After a Brazil-only first EP release, Boogarins are now ready to go global as their debut LP As Plantas Que Curam ("plants that heal") will be out internationally this October through Other Music (Vinyl, CD and Digital) and Burger Records (cassette).
