M83's Anthony Gonzalez has become something of a soundtrack man in the three years since the release of Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. Film executives have begun to realise that the swirling synth sound he's so fond of is perfect for sci-fi, which Gonzalez proved last year with his score for Oblivion. His job offers are probably piling up, but for now he'll just be lending one new song to Lionsgate's Divergent, their upcoming answer to The Hunger Games in that it's a dystopian sci-fi romp, stars two young adult leads, and is based on a popular book series.

It's primed to be a hit and the filmmakers have come out swinging with its soundtrack, which also features songs from A$AP Rocky, Tame Impala, and Kendrick Lamar. With its serene vocals and a smokey, paean sax solo, M83's contribution is everything anyone waiting for a Hurry Up, We're Dreaming follow up could hope for. It's pretty much an outtake.
