Hailing from Flatbush, Brooklyn, rappers Meechy Darko and Zombie Juice, and producer Erick Arc Elliott, form the hip-hop group Flatbush Zombies.

The group is gearing up to drop their new mixtape, BetterOffDEAD, later this year and have shared another taste of what to expect. Flatbush Zombies' trippy new track Palm Trees, produced by Erick Arc Elliott, rides a slow, grinding beat with ambient washes of sound and a choral hook. The production is offset by the gritty rap styles of the collective, the mood switching up from anger to come-ons to earnestness, complete with the "pick yourself up" style hook, "when ya throw shade/it could never harm me."

Part of the New York hip hop movement Beast Coast, Flatbush Zombies already have one mixtape already under their belt, 2012's D.R.U.G.S., as well as having collaborated with artists such as El-P, RZA, A$AP Rocky, and more. From the sound of this track, Flatbush Zombies are one to keep your eye on.
