New York City recently saw a stage adaptation of Chicago radio show This American Life. The performance featured the whole musical shebang, including singers, dancers, and some very special guests, including composer Philip Glass (cousin with the show's host Ira) and The Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merrit.

While Glass's participation included his composition of a piece based on the story of a woman trapped in a closet, Merritt also contributed by performing a song he wrote about a segment of the show. The special episode is now available for you to listen to here, but if you want to have access to the whole visual experience you can download the video for $5.
