80's-tinged pop seems to be having a bit of a moment, and we're totally down with that because sometimes it yields results as stunning as 'Touch' by Shura.

Up until this point Shura was primarily known for lending her breathy vocals to Hiatus' exquisite album Parklands (released last summer); 'Touch' is about to change all of that. It's slow, simple but massively affecting. It's Shura's storytelling that takes centre stage here; although this lament to a past flame seems particularly personal, lines like "I wanna touch you but it's too late" are instantly relatable.

For a first solo effort, it's pretty remarkable. Shura is an artist to get excited about.
