It's always a risky business, covering a song by an iconic band. It's an even riskier business when you're doing it in a completely different genre to the original. But sometimes, just sometimes, it works so brilliantly you might want to pretend the first one never existed. Who knew that 'Closedown' by post-punk-pop guitar band The Cure would sound excellent as '80s hairspray electro? Not us. Working under pseudonym Stripmallarchitecture, we have cover song aficionados Rebecca and Ryan Coseboom to thank for this nostalgic, addictive, minimalist re-work.
