If you think you've got your one's to watch lists settled, you might want to make one final addition...

As the beat kicks in on Harrogate based duo Litany's new single 'Work This Out' there's this instant feeling of being transported to the '80s. Those synths and keys just ooze '80s appeal. But then you look at the artwork - a text message on an iconic Nokia 3310 mobile phone - and you realise it's more of a '90s ode than an '80s one. Whether this matters or not is pretty irrelevant - what does matter is it's downright special thanks to Beth Cornell's breathy vocals which echo elements of Carly Rae Jepsen (particularly in that "oooh-ooh" right before the chorus) or maybe even Låpsley or Mabel. Despite this, her voice, combined with Jake Nicolaides' production talents, makes for a highly enjoyable listening experience. It's Lit(any)!
