It's most likely through my own ignorance that New Zealand has never been a huge spot on my own musical map but with new track 'Collarbones', Thomston has changed that in one fell swoop.

Right off the back of his 2014 acclaimed debut EP Argonaut - which was streamed over 4 million times on Spotify - the impressive Auckland-native returns with a pop track that's as haunting as they come. A vivid and brooding snapshot of suburban teenage transitions, 'Collarbones' ebbs and flows with intelligently sparse production, careful along the way not to take anything away from 19-year-old Thomston's (aka Thomas Stoneman) impressive and eerily innocent vocal.

If this, the lead single from his eagerly anticipated sophomore Backbone EP - which will drop on April 20th - is anything to by, 2015 is set to bring big things for this young New Zealander and, for some, firmly place his home country on many a musical map.
