Considering The Roots' musical position - highly respected + Fallon's 'house band' - a collaborative album involving the legendary Elvis Costello is hardly on the same plane as Lou Reed & Metallica's Lulu - but up until this point we were still in the dark.

Thankfully, if 'Walk Us Uptown' is anything to go by, Wise Up Ghost has already succeeded where Lulu didn't; by not being completely awful.

Yes it's a joyful number, and yes it's wonderfully produced, but surely when two ends of the spectrum come together like this (at a base level anyway) you'd expect something a bit less... safe? Still, it's no Lulu, and for that we salute you.
