Marian Hill's 'Whisky' is a smooth first offering from the Philly-based duo that just gets more and more infectious the more you press play, trust me. Jeremy Lloyd takes up production duties with a confident hip-hop inspired beat creating a rock solid foundation for Samantha Gongol's sugar-coated vocals.

The sweet words are reminiscent of Lana Del Rey, through maybe that's just the alcohol reference, as Lana sings about Liquor and Cognac, Gongol gives her all on the subject of Whisky - "Yeah I like a whisky with my lullaby." The chorus features some trippy production before cosying back down to its heavy beat. Gorgeous production, gorgeous vocals. More music from Marian Hill please.
