So-and-so is releasing a new five-track EP in a few months, your problematic fave dropped a pretty risque new video and that washed up band that no one has even thought of for a good decade now, has decided to reunite and head out on a world tour. These are the things I need to post at a fervent pace, to not only keep up with the over-saturated blogosphere, but to harness the steady stream of emails that will inevitably continue their high-pressured pursuit into my inbox all hours of the day for the remainder of the week, (and probably on the weekend too, depending on the publicist.)

So to combat the rat-race, we're offering a content compromise in the form of our new daily column, Live From The Gutter - an afternoon recap of the day's press releases and the contents of my 405 email.

Kornél Kovács reveals new track 'The Bells' from new album

Kornel Kovacs' debut album'The Bells' will be released on Studio Barnhus this week and today, he's released the title track. "Kornél's bells will echo far beyond the nervous and trend sensitive ”dance" genre that our label sometimes is associated with, and into pop history. It’s one of our best, most innovative and creative releases to date, and the fact that one of my best friends has managed to do this on the label we share together makes me so proud that I want to cry. The Bells is the reason I dreamed of starting a label in the first place," Studio Barnhus label boss, Axel Boman said.

ODONIS ODONIS share new video for 'Needs'

Odonis Odonis has shared a new video for 'Needs,' from their latest epic Post Plague. Director Scott Cudmore explains 'Needs' is about "Old, entitled, white men and the system of oppression and exploitation that they've created to serve their...well...needs, which are usually money and power. I'm looking at this through the lens of science fiction, but I wanted to depict that power structure breaking down finally. Breaking down internally. There's no linear narrative and you are free to think of that aspect in any way, but each image is a depiction of this breakdown as well as of repression, exploitation and desperation."
