So-and-so is releasing a new five-track EP in a few months, your problematic fave dropped a pretty risque new video and that washed up band that no one has even thought of for a good decade now, has decided to reunite and head out on a world tour. These are the things I need to post at a fervent pace, to not only keep up with the over-saturated blogosphere, but to harness the steady stream of emails that will inevitably continue their high-pressured pursuit into my inbox all hours of the day for the remainder of the week, (and probably on the weekend too, depending on the publicist.)

So to combat the rat-race, we're offering a content compromise in the form of our new daily column, Live From The Gutter - an afternoon recap of the day's press releases and the contents of my 405 email.

Holy Oysters announce London show and share 'Kaleidoscope'

The Wave Pictures' video for 'Pool Hall' is self-explanatory

The Wave Pictures have shared their new video for current single 'Pool Hall' from their forthcoming album Bamboo Diner in the Rain, due out on Moshi Moshi on 11 November. To help facilitate the visuals, they enlisted BAFTA nominated director Chris Shepherd. "The guys told me that they’d written the song about Cousins Pool Hall in London that had closed down and by pure chance I started talking to the people who ran it. They were over the moon that they had been immortalized in a song! Cousins is a real community that has a passion for snooker and pool. The location was jam-packed with snooker memorabilia. We all felt very proud as they included us in their hall of frame," Chris said.

Sacred Paws share fun-filled video for 'Everyday'

London/Glasgow duo, Sacred Paws have shared a new video for their guitar-pop song 'Everday.' The pair enlisted Patience/former Veronica Falls member Roxanne Clifford to direct the lo-fi clip, which nods to Super 8 cinematography of the 60s. "We are both pretty camera shy and awkward people so we were slightly dreading having to make a video but Roxanne is one of our favourite songwriters and artists so we totally trusted her aesthetic. She's also our friend so we felt relaxed enough to dance around and be our genuinely goofy selves. We actually had fun making this video!! And I think it captures some of the energy we put into making music together and communicates the fun we have on stage to people who might not be able to see us play live," Rachel Aggs said.
