You don't have to an acolyte follower of the 405 to realise that we kinda have a thing for cats, so when we received the chance to premiere a track featuring a cat we of course snapped up the offer in a whisker, didn't even paws for thought and clawed at the offer so you can listen to it right meow (so sorry).

Catastrophic puns aside this is very much worth your time. Liz Christine from Rio de Janeiro is an artist that takes an avant-garge approach to sound, with the result often a hugely cinematic feel containing various ambient textures, akin to Julia Holter. 'Rain' is from forthcoming album Sweet Mellow Cat, and alongside gentle cat cries a delicately warped sound washes over, that may or may not be the sound of a surreal, disturbed but enjoyable nights sleep at the bottom of the ocean.

Sweet Mellow Cat is out on Japanese label Flau Recordings (also home to the glorious Cuushe) on 4th December.
