Alt-pop two piece Jadu Heart have this week released their first new music of the year in a double-A-sided single, The Gloom That Looms. Very little is known about this enigmatic duo yet they have constructed an entire mystical narrative that accompanies the release of music which includes planet systems, fairy creatures and supernatural radio DJs.

The construct is complex and so is their brand of cosmic pop, the leading track ‘Heroin Song’ melds the string work of Radiohead with the avant-garde of Empire Of The Sun. This imaginative North London duo have already collaborated with Mura Masa’s Anchor Point label and this new offering is co-produced with Guy Sigworth (Bjork, Robyn). The layers of production offer a real sense of space and invite you into their intriguing universe.

The Gloom That Looms is available now through VLF Records; listen on your preferred platform.
