Meggie Brown is a London-based songwriter who, despite not having released any music prior to this, has already built up a reputation thanks to her wild and energetic performances with her band. She has now been into the studio to try and capture some of this lightning in a bottle, and the first morsel to come out is the single 'Coming Back Again'.

Recorded in Edwyn Collins' studio in the Scottish Highlands and produced by Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos, 'Coming Back Again' is a dark and haunting rock number, with a propulsive force. This is the perfect vessel for Meggie Brown to coast atop with her domineering voice and fearless lyricisim. As an introductory song, it couldn't be more promising. Listen to 'Coming Back Again' below.

You can follow Meggie Brown on Facebook and Instagram. She'll be supporting Franz Ferdinand later this month at the following dates:

23rd - Corn Exchange, Cambridge (w/ Franz Ferdinand)
24th - O2 Academy Brixton (w/ Franz Ferdinand)
25th - The Dome, Brighton (w/ Franz Ferdinand)
