Original Story

Earlier today, news broke that London's Jabberwocky Festival, which was to take place this weekend, had been cancelled. You can read the statement from Barry Hogan here, which basically breaks the entire thing down to monetary reasons, which has been a huge reason that many other festivals this summer have had to fold as well, or faced pretty dire consequences (see: Camden Crawl).

However, there's a bright side to all of this news: quite a few of the bands that were slated to play have now been hard at work planning gigs at venues all throughout London to make up for the cancelled show. A Facebook page has popped up titled Jabberwocky Fall Out Rumours to put all of those rumors, confirmed information, and things of the sort in one place.

So far, there have already been a few pretty kickass ones confirmed. Chelsea Wolfe and Deafheaven will be tearing things up on 15 Friday (although the venue isn't confirmed yet), and there are rumours of a Liars gig at The Lexington. Here's to hoping that Neutral Milk Hotel will set something up! We'll update you with more information when it becomes available, but for now, your best bet would be to stay tuned to the aforementioned Facebook page (there's already a pretty interesting discussion being held about ticket refunds).
