Newcomers Loners make a bold, confident step forward following the release of new single ‘He Looks Like Me’. It is a confessional, self-deprecating slice of alt-pop that melds the indie complexities of Phoenix with the straight-up soaring anthem of Circa Waves. The track is also drenched in sunshine thanks to shiny synth and bright production courtesy of Andy Savours (Dream Wife).

Speaking of the single, lead singer Eliott Parsons noted: “He looks like me is essentially a love letter to myself. I have a tendency to be really over emotional and feel really sorry for myself whenever anything doesn’t work out. I think a lot of people do. He looks like me is about not doing that, it’s the realisation that everyone is going through the same shit and this song is meant to celebrate that heaviness that people struggle to share.  You’re not always the victim.”

Loners’ combination of sharp lyricism and infectious form is assured to see their following build rapidly and with early support from Spotify and other tastemakers, theirs is a name you’re likely to hear often throughout this year.
