There must be something in the South London water, as the area seems to consistently produce top quality musical talent. One of the latest to arise from the area is Poppy Ajudha – a singer/songwriter whose style and tone has been compared to the likes of Corinne Bailey-Rae, Amy Winehouse and Erkyah Badu.

Her latest single, ‘Love Falls Down’, is a stunning example of her talents as a vocalist, as she effortlessly slides over the jazzy instrumentation. Though it is only her third release, Poppy has already gained attention from respected personalities such as Gilles Peterson and Jamz Supernova, in addition to her musical peers, Connie Constance and Tom Misch.

Poppy is preparing for the release of her debut EP this year, and tracks such as this will only increase the anticipation surrounding the project.
