With new project Peace Of Paper/Cup Of Jayzus due out next week, Lupe Fiasco has something else to distract himself from this new musical adventure (as it always seems to happen): the Chicago rapper is facing charges regarding alleged financial links to a drug lord.

Fiasco is being sued by the wife of convicted drug kingpin Charles Patton (who is currently serving 44 years in jail for running a huge heroin ring), claiming that Fiasco worked with her estranged husband to hide more than 9 million dollars in different bank accounts. Inita Patton apparently believes that her husband conspired with the rapper to stash the money in order to keep it form her during their divorce.

Lupe Fiasco's lawyer is denying the claim, saying the allegations are "baseless and will be proven false at trial ... there are no secret accounts and no illicit instructions," but Inita is taking it to court, suing to get what she claims is rightfully hers.
