Lupe Fiasco has been hired as the official 'Music Director' for the US' World Cup squad.

Following the release of his anti-cancer single 'Mission', the Chicago rapper has been chosen to pump inspiration into the US Men's National Team during the forthcoming World Cup in Brazil. As Complex are reporting, his long list of extremely difficult roles include:

  • - Creating Spotify playlists for the USMNT
  • - Handling the in-game music programming during the Send-Off Series in late May and early June
  • - Appearing in New York City during Fan Appreciation Day on May 30
  • - Performing in Chicago at the U.S. Soccer Fan Fest before the U.S. takes on Ghana on June 16

In addition, it's also been announced that New York-born graffiti artist Futura has been picked up as the squad's Art Director. His job tasks him with creating two "live works" at the Fan Appreciation Day. He'll also "provide his own flavor that will include the official Men’s National Team World Cup poster and limited-edition skate deck designs." Rad.
