Noisey writer Ryan Bassil must have a sharp ear, or a deep knowledge of Japanese synth music, because he's spotted a pretty strong resemblance between 'Chamber of Reflection' from Mac DeMarco's new album Salad Days and 'The Word II' by Shigeo Sekito, a pretty obscure song from 1975's Shigeo Sekito Special Sound Series Vol.2. The main melody is pretty uncanny, but who can say if it's a lift or an act tribute? We're talking about the guy who regularly covers Limb Bizkit when he plays live.
