HMV's recent turmoil is well documented, but just in case you've been working away on the Space Station or trekking through the forest in search of a honey-loving primate (shout out to Attenborough), we'll give you a brief rundown.

Last week the company brought in administrators, which caused widespread panic throughout its 247 stores. Vouchers no longer worked, and in some cases workers staged sit-in protests to try and get their wages paid.

With the likes of GAME reportedly in the running to invest in the company, Universal Music, Warner Music and Sony have teamed up to try and save the company. They'll be offering up more flexible credit terms and a lower rate on product. As FACT points out, for the past few years the major labels have offered up preferential deals in exchange for shares.

We'll bring you more news on this when we have it.
