Margaret Glaspy has announced she'll be heading back to the UK later this year in support of her debut album Emotions and Math, which was released last month via ATO Records. That's great news, obviously, but listing off a bunch of tour dates is pretty boring when you think about it, so we decided to ask her a couple of questions about her forthcoming trip, plus a few others.

In five words, how excited are you to be heading back to the UK?

Very, very, very, very excited.

Where do you find inspiration?

Puppies. Oh and also in humanity and the pure wonder of existence.

What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?

There's no such thing as failing!

When was the last time you tried something new?

Yesterday I switched up my taco order. Today, I sewed a pattern that was new to me. Tonight, I might go swing dancing in the park.

What are you currently working on?

I'm currently touring quite a bit and starting to think about the next record. When I'm not working on music I like to read and make things (sew, collage, etc).

What's the most challenging thing you've ever created?

My first full length record Emotions and Math.

Which of your talents do you think people overlook?

I think I may be an actress at heart.
