Matthew Herbert will be making his return to the dancefloor in 2015. He'll be releasing his first new album of dance music since 2006's Scale this year on Studio!K7, and Michael Roe of Caroline International (the label the record will be out on) said about the release that “We are over the moon to be working with such an incredibly unique talent as Matthew. He embodies the true sense of the word artist and has produced a body of music that has not been off the hi-fi at Caroline since we got it.”

If you want to get a taste of what to expect from the sampling king himself, he'll be playing a show at the Village Underground in London in a few weeks on 17 March with Ade Omotayo and Rahel Debebe-Desselegne. He says it will “premiere a new technique for sourcing sounds from the audience", and he curated the gig alongside playwright Duncan Macmillan, so it's sure to be a pretty cool experience.
