Sir Paul McCartney, Britain’s richest performer has moved up to third place in the The Sunday Times Rich List Music Millionaires Top 50 beating Lord Andrew- Lloyd Webber who is now in 4th place. The ex Beatle’s fortune has increased by £170m in a year, from £475m to £665m. This is thanks Largely to his marriage in October to Vice president of New England Motor Freight, Nancy Shevel. Shevel has a £150m stake in the haulage business which is led by her father. Sir Paul’s performing and record sales add another £20m to the pot.

Daniel Ek, founder of Spotify jumps into the top ten with a fortune estimated at £190 million, joining Simon Cowell, U2 and Sir Elton John in the top ten.
