In Ray Bradbury's classic novel Something Wicked This Way Comes, the writer describes the autumn people. "For these beings, fall is ever the normal season, the only weather, there be no choice beyond. Where do they come from? The dust. Where do they go? The grave," he writes. Following the US election, garage pop duo Medium Mystic took a walk through South Williamsburg and noticed the sad and solemn faces of those they passed by. So Brenna and Morgan wrote 'Autumn People' for the present and future of them.

"We wrote this song in a fever one night -- during which we wrote three other songs -- about the strange breed of people described in Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes: the autumn people. They're eternally stuck between seasons and kinda sorta evil. I think it's a lovely mix of Morgan and my styles -- and I love how weird and Royal Trux-y our voices sound together," Brenna says.

Medium Mystic have our first show at Shea Stadium in BK on Dec 7 -- a benefit for Planned Parenthood. Find tickets here.
