You might have a hard time if you were asked to recall any of the instruments that feature on Sam Smith's 'Money on My Mind' from memory. The song's all about his voice, and you'd think that would make it a daunting cover, but MisterWives have made it sound effortless.

It helps that they're fronted by vocalist Mandy Lee, who absolutely nails the track's high-voiced-hooks and goes her own way on the verses with some jazzy inflections. It's still very much a vocal piece, and the Bronx band keep it simple with a faithful instrumental track that's missing about half of the originals beat. MisterWives know who their star is, and they're not about to hold her back.

MisterWives' Reflections EP is out now and the band are heading to SXSW next week and British shores in May for the Great Escape Festival, see their dates below.
