In 2006, Mogwai teamed up with directors Douglas Gordon and Phillipe Parreno to soundtrack their docu-film Zidane, un portrait du 21e siècle and now London based fans can see the Scottish outfit play it live in its entirety.

A performance of the score had already been confirmed for the Manchester International Festival in July but an additional show is now scheduled for London's Barbican Centre the following week on the 26th July.

The film itself, translated in English as Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, was shot back in 2005 where cameras focused on French footballing legend Zinedine Zidane over the ninety minutes of a Real Madrid game, played in the cauldron that is the Bernabau Stadium.
