If you're not familiar with Whyd, it's a French startup that lets you curate your favorite music from sites like YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and more, and then connect with tastemakers. Up until now they've been invite only, but they're finally breaking that wall down and are releasing the service to the public. They raised $700,000 from private French investors as well, which will help their mobile engineering team to launch its debut mobile app in the next few months.

Half a million tracks have been shared on the service, which has been compared to Songdrop, Ex.fm, Musicplayr, and Solayo. If you want to see what the site is all about for yourself, check it out here.
